The visitors of the gallery can see the permanent exposition of paintings, graphics, drawings, illustrations, tapestries, and utility art works. There is a studio and workshop of the artist. SNG organizes some temporary exhibitions and yearly shows of works of laureates of the Prize of Ľ. Fulla and scholarship students of Ľ. Fulla. The gallery offers cultural shows about the life and works of this important personage of Slovak modernism, and also concerts of classical music and cultural events for public. The gallery provides a lector´s commentary, catalogues, posters and postcards shop.

History

This building was constructed for preservation and presentation of artistic works, which were given to Slovak National Gallery by Ľudovít Fulla (1902 – 1980). The author was an important personage of the Slovak Fine Art, which was connected to the modern European art currents. This versatile artist, painter, graphic, illustrator, monumental-decorative works and scenery designs creator and teacher, spent the last years of his life here. The gallery project was made by Arch. Hatala according the idea design of Arch. M. Kusý. The gallery was open in 1969.
