The building is a National Culture Monument. Liptov Museum makes the use of the building to present exhibitions coming from their own collection funds and from the field of fine art. It displays exhibitions of fine art, national geography and ethnography.
History
Declared National Culture Monument in 1961. The building of one-time inn with foundations dating back to the 17th century. The last reconstructions took place in 1880. It used to be a centre of culture life of Liptovský Mikuláš in past. Theatre performances organised by society Tatrín and Slovak national life performers took place in the courtyard of Čierny Orol. On the 1st of May 1918 people`s assemblage was held in the premises, demanding for the first time ever formation of a common state for Czech and Slovak peopleContact
